Re: What’s hot in food and beverage flavors now? Honey Crystals is the NEW Honey!
Sun, December 28, 2008 - 10:59 AMThis product has more cane sugar in it than honey. This fact should be more upfront on the website, that one is buying cane sugar flavored with honey, and not just dry crystalized honey, which is what the marketing looks like on first glance. The website goes on about how this is an alternative sweetner, but after searching, I find out the first ingredient is cane sugar. Which makes me ask, what is so alternative about that?
Why is it hard to find the ingredient lables on the website? Don't you want people to know organic cane sugar is the first of two ingredients on the lable, so that must be the majority component of the blend.

The product is organic, and easier to handle than liquid honey, adds honey flavor, those are great marketing points, so why do you say it is an alternative to sugar when it is at least half cane sugar? That seems quite confused.
Sorry, but I ran across this product a little while back, and I got really excited, but I am a lable reader. After I looked at the back of the jar, I became really unhappy about how this cane sugar and honey blend product was presented. I don't have a problem with your making and selling the product, but I think your marketing could be a little more open about the fact that the product is at least over half cane sugar. Some people have grass sugar allergies, and if they didn't read the fine print on the back lable they could be in for trouble with your product.

Re: What’s hot in food and beverage flavors now? Honey Crystals is the NEW Honey!
Sun, December 28, 2008 - 11:30 PMThank you for sharing your research and opinion on this product. I fully agree that the sugar % or ppm or something should be presented in the advertising. Especially when advertised as a sugar "substitute." I now feel more educated and will likely not be as dissapointed when and if I choose to try this product. Lovin' the truth :-) thanks.
