We have amazing honey..the healing Manuka etc but of course we have the varoa mite here too...which has seriously damaged alot of the industry...
There was a doco on the other night about Indian shop owners importing honey from India which can totally wipe out our honey if left out for bees to consume...they confiscated 40.000 bee related items last year...it's not looking good and it seems there are not enough serious fines/consequences for it...too bad that people really have no idea how dire the situation is until the honey supplies dry up and then we shall hear the wails of complaint...
