Sat, April 2, 2005 - 12:40 PMWhat is a stimulant honey? Does that mean it has caffeine or some similar substance in it? -

Re: Cacao/Guarana/Kola Honey
Sat, April 2, 2005 - 5:12 PMI wouldn't cook with it..would most likely lose it's stimulating properties. My suggestion would be to make a yummy dessert you could drizzle the honey over...

It is from bees that pollinated the plants we get cocaine from... -

Re: Cacao/Guarana/Kola Honey
Sun, April 3, 2005 - 5:11 PMI would definitely try it on baklava. You could probably get away with just warming it slightly, without cooking it too long and risking losing its stimulant effects. Sounds tasty. -

Re: Cacao/Guarana/Kola Honey
Sun, April 3, 2005 - 7:32 PMYou can mix it with Almond butter, rolled oats, coconut shavings, cinnamon, spices, minced candied ginger and get it to a consistancy of dough and make little balls or cakes. Yummy stimulating snack food.

Re: Cacao/Guarana/Kola Honey
Tue, April 26, 2005 - 5:56 PMMake some mead... All the beneficial properties of the flowers/plants the bees take the nectar from is enobled upon fermentation. What an interesting brew that would make!

Re: Cacao/Guarana/Kola Honey
Tue, May 3, 2005 - 11:35 AMAh yes, I have made a brew of meade that I labeled
" Buzzbomb Mead " it was fermented with wildflower
Honey, Guarana, Jatoba, Tabernaemontana sanango,
Yeast and Spring water. It was bottle 7/03 and it's still
quite bitter, not for weak hearts, a strong draught of
this meade gets one's heart pumping rather well * hic *
