Has anyone else tried this wonderful liqueur? I had seen the interesting bottle at BevMo a number of times but hadn't wanted to spring for the whole $$ amount in case it was awful. But a friend brought it back from Germany and let me try it. She didn't know she could get it in U.S! It is AWESOME. My favorite flask contents for Faire and just bought a new bottle of it to share at Dickens this year. Slightly thick, very potent, and the honey sweetness lingers on your lips for quite a while. Ahhhh. Perfect for sharing a memorable kiss. ;-)

Re: Barenjager
Mon, November 21, 2005 - 9:43 AMI have. I agree with you it is most wonderful. I have mixed it with a lot of differnt things, but I usually perfer to drink it straight. A lot of people that I have given it to said it was too sweet for them. -

Tue, December 13, 2005 - 1:44 PMI find it best chilled, so that it slides down smooth and leaves the sweetness behind... you cannot gulp down big glasses full, otherwise it is indeed too sweet; it is something like a dessert cordial. But if you get a weensy little glass, put a bit of it in the glass chilled and sip tiny bits, mmmm!!
